The tyre that reduces running costs⁽¹⁾, respects the environment⁽¹⁾, and enables a shorter braking distance⁽³⁾!

PRODUCT BENEFITS

Less fuel used

Save up to 80 litres of fuel⁽¹⁾.

Outstanding longevity

MICHELIN ENERGY™ Saver lasts 6,000 miles longer⁽²⁾. Longer-lasting tyres also result in fewer worn tyres to recycle!

More safety

Your safety is always a priority for MICHELIN. Your braking distance is up to 3 metres shorter on wet roads⁽³⁾.

TECHNOLOGY

Less fuel used and more safety in wet conditions due to a new generation 100% silica-based rubber compound

In 1992, Michelin launched its 1st generation of low fuel consumption “green tyres”, made possible by the partial substitution of carbon black with silica.

MICHELIN Energy Saver uses the latest generation silica which almost completely replaces the carbon black.

More safety in wet conditions, maintained mile after mile due to the Durable Security Compound (DSC)

The Durable Security Compound is a new ingredient in the tread rubber. It is aromatic oil free (complying with the European Directive which came into force in January 2010).

It improves wet braking, not only when the tyre is new, but also as it wears.

By maintaining the rigidity of the tread rubber, the Durable Security Compound ensures efficient braking during the whole life of the tyre (Michelin Patent).

Outstanding longevity due to a mixing process exclusive to Michelin

This exclusive Michelin process allows for the simultaneous combination of all the tread ingredients, with perfect control of the mixture consistency and molecular interaction.

Tread rubber performance is very dependent on the quality of the molecular bonding of its 14 individual ingredients (elastomers, sulphur, antioxidants, silica, etc.).

The new mixing process enhances the performance of the 100% silica-based compound and the DSC compared to using a non-Michelin process.

Under 3 years and 20,000 miles on a reasonably light car (Toyota Yaris) mostly city driving in south England The sidewalls have cracked which has been given as an advisory on the MOT paid your £100 each so expected better. Pressure maintained well though.

Did not last as long as expected

I can't fault these for performance & longevity, but, I have found that they do break up near the edges. My Vauxhall Ampera has these as recommended fitment & I run them at the ideal manufacturers setting for ECO use. A 2 year old tyre that is showing bad edge cracking isn't good. I wish I could post a picture on here. Now seeking alternatives.

Took a chance buying them secondhand but no regrets. Amazing comfort compared to the Continentals which they replaced. Good grip wet and dry.
